The regulation of the Lettings Industry continues unabated. Just two examples:
Electrical Safety Certificates – properties where new Tenancies are starting from July 1st 2020 must have an Electrical Safety Certificate which lasts 5 years. This will apply to all properties that are rented out from April 2021.
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) – if your property has an energy rating of F or worse you cannot rent it out (the fine for doing so could reach £4,000).
